What is Math Intervention?
The goal of the Title 1 Math program is to accelerate the learning of students who are one or more grade levels below in math, build foundational skills and concepts, and make learning fun. Each group is designed to target the individual needs of students within a small group setting. The pace of instruction is differentiated for the different levels of learning. The goal of math intervention is for each child to be able to perform on grade level.
How are students selected for Math Intervention?
Students are selected based on beginning and end of year math assessments, classroom performance, and teacher recommendation.
How is Math Intervention Structured?
Small groups of students meet twice a week for 30 minutes each day.
