5th Grade ELAR

About Me:

I am a graduate of University of Houston. This is my 11th year in education, 6th year in Pearland ISD, and 2nd year in the GT Academy. I have a passion for teaching and learning. My husband and I have 2 sweet little boys, Oliver 4 and Parker 2. 

Supplies

It will be imperative that students have all of their supplies daily.  

Students must bring all of their supplies to class daily including their pencil bag, interactive notebook (2 Compostion notebookl, blue reading folder, and charged device

**Library Books**

Pencil bag should contain - scissors, glue, at least 2 pencils, pencil sharpener, colored pencils/crayons, red pen, black pen, highlighter

 Conduct cards

This year we are using ClassDojo to keep track of weekly conduct marks.  Create a parent account and you can check your child's conduct anytime throughout the week.   

 Grades

You can stay informed about your child's grades by checking Skyward.  We encourage the students and parents to check Skyward weekly.  Daily grades are worth 60% and major grades are worth 40%.  

 Staar Test

The 5th grade Reading Staar test is given in May.
