Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS)

 Retiring can be a simple process if you plan ahead!

Visit: Planning for Retirement on the TRS website for information on when to begin the retirement process and what options are available for you.

If you are planning to retire, you will need to contact the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) 6 months prior to your anticipated retirement date. This will allow yourself enough time to complete and submit all required forms. 

After contacting TRS, you should receive a retirement packet with the forms you need to select your retirement date and your retirement payment plan.

Si planea retirarse, debrá que comunicarse con el Systema de Retiro de Texas (TRS) 6 meses antes de su fecha de retiro anticipada. Esto le dará tiempo suficiente para completar y enviar todos los formularios requeridos. 

Despues de comunicarse con TRS, debe recibir un paquete de retiro con los formularios que necesita para seleccionar su fecha de retiro y su plan de pago.
