IXL
I am pleased to tell you that we will be using a website called IXL in Math this year. IXL is a comprehensive math review site with an unlimited number of practice questions in hundreds of skills-all of which are aligned to state standards. One of the best things about IXL is that your child can access it from home, so you have a chance to see your child's progress.
To get your child started on your home computer, please follow these easy steps:
1. Go to www.IXL.com/signin/alexander
2. Enter your child's username and password (located in student's agenda) and click Sign in.
Username: district six digit number
Example: 123456
Password: computer generated
Please note: If the student accesses IXL.com instead of IXL.com/signin/alexander, the student will have to add @alexander to their username. Example: 123456@alexander.
Look for IXL assignments in your child's agenda. Your child has mastered the concept once they have achieved a Smart Score of 85.
If your child finds that an IXL assignment is too difficult or taking a long time, have them stop and see me the following day for assistance.
