    Grades

Fourth grade students receive report cards each grading period. They must be signed and returned. Number grades are given in Reading, Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.   Conduct and Work Habits grades are determined by the number of conduct marks or work habits marks recieved. Please see the conduct card in your child's MACK Binder for further clarification. Music, PE, Art, and Handwriting are S, N, or U. Progress Reports are sent home after the third week of every grading period.

    * All papers, including tests, below 70 will be given the opportunity to be corrected in class for a grade of no higher than a 70. Grades are an average of classroom work and test grades, no extra credit opportunities will be given.

    Absences

In order for an absence to be considered excused, a note needs to be sent to the school within 3 days of the absence. Please use a full size sheet a paper. In addition to the reason for the absence, please include the name of the student, the date(s) of the absence(s), the teacher’s name, and the grade level of the student. Notes must be handwritten. Emails are no longer accepted. The student will be given up to 3 days to complete any make-up work.

You may also send a bottle of water for your child to keep on their desk if you choose to, but please make sure it is in a bottle with a lid that closes easily to avoid spills! Due to food allergies, snacks cannot be shared with one another. Remember, snacks are optional at all times!
