Congratulations to the Pearland ISD Glenda Dawson First-Year Teachers of the Year, Teachers of the Year and Principals of the Year award winners who were announced at the annual Service Awards Banquet on May 3.
Pearland ISD eighth-graders stole the show -- and numerous acting accolades -- during the district’s fourth annual Junior High University Interscholastic League One-Act Play Competition. The competition was held at Dawson High School on Saturday, April 27.
Pearland ISD proudly announces its 2018-19 campus teacher and paraprofessional award winners and principals and employees of the year. Each year the district honors outstanding teachers, administrators and staff who go above and beyond to inspire students and create a supportive educational environment.
Artists from Dawson High School, Pearland High School, Robert Turner College & Career High School, Berry Miller Junior High and Pearland Junior High West, along with writers/poets from DHS will compete for national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards this spring.
Berry Miller Junior High was recently recognized as a School to Watch by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform and the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as part of a national recognition program. Berry Miller is among only about 30 other schools across Texas to earn this distinction and honor.
