Can you please explain the evaluation process?
A complete review of student data will begin in the fall. Data reviewed may include, but is not limited to, benchmarks, STAAR, previous ability or achievement assessment scores, qualitative data, or district screener data. If it is determined formal ability and/or achievement testing is required, the Coordinator of Advanced Programs will schedule this. Formal evaluation may take place at the ESC or designated campus on Saturdays or outside the instructional day. If so, parents will receive an email indicating their assigned evaluation date/time. Parents are responsible for transportation to/from testing. For information specific to your student’s grade level, please contact the Coordinator of Advanced Programs. The process of data review and assessment begins in September and continues through March.
When will I receive information on identification decisions?

- 4th Grade: January 23, 2026
- Kindergarten: February 20, 2026
