Instructional Materials and Textbooks
NOTE: If you are a teacher, student, or parent needing help with digital access to district textbooks and instructional materials, please email _cleverhelpdesk@pearlandisd.org.
Pearland ISD's Instructional Materials And Textbooks (IMAT) Team manages the adoption, purchase, inventory, and distribution of the district's instructional materials and textbooks, both print and digital, for student and teacher classroom use. These materials are primarily purchased with the district's Instructional Materials Allotment (IMA) from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). You can read more about TEA's Instructional Materials here.
State adopted instructional materials and textbooks are selected through a process TEA calls an adoption. In 2025-2026, the following departments have courses going through the adoption process:
- Curriculum & Instruction: K-12 Social Studies (excluding AP Social Studies courses)
- CTE: Energy and Natural Resources, Practicum of Engineering, Engineering Design Process, and Engineering Design Presentation
- Advanced Academics: AP Spanish Literature & Culture
Publishers who are interested in being considered for review under an adoption process should contact Donna Tate (contact information below) directly and not campuses as Pearland ISD is a closed district.
Parents will have the opportunity to review materials under consideration for adoption. Look for more information to be posted about that here in February.
The following staff comprise the IMAT team for Pearland ISD:
District departments, campus administration, and vendors should contact Donna for questions regarding Proclamations, Instructional Material Allotment, and the district's adoption process.
District departments, campus administration, and vendors should contact Michelle for questions about access to digital instructional materials and resources.
District departments, campus administration, and vendors should contact Jason for questions about/requests for additional Instructional Materials/Textbooks, District and Campus Inventory, and Shipping.
