Proclamation 2024 Textbook Adoption

Pearland ISD is participating in the State Board of Education (SBOE) review and adoption process for instructional materials for 2024. The process starts when the SBOE revises or adopts new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and is complete with the selection and implementation of new materials by school districts.

The SBOE uses a proclamation to call for new instructional materials or new information about currently adopted instructional materials. The State Board of Education (SBOE) issued Proclamation 2024 at its April 2022 meeting to call for science, grades K–12; technology applications, grades K–8; Personal Financial Literacy and Economics; and several CTE courses.  The SBOE has a list of approved materials for Proclamation 2024 located on TEA's website. The adopted materials will go into classrooms in the 2024–25 school year.

Pearland ISD is following SBOE's Proclamation 2024 process and is also adopting for AP English Composition (AP English 3). AP English Composition is in print only and can be requested for review here at the Virgil Gant Education Service Center, Monday through Friday February 5th-16th..

Below you will find the finalists selected by our faculty and staff from the SBOE approved lists.  You will find a link for you to access these materials, along with the username and password provided by TEA.  *Please note you will need to search for the specific vendor sited below from the main TEA linked page.  Use the + to open up and view the selected vendors.
