Volunteers / Chaperones
Pearland ISD invites you to become a volunteer.
According to Texas Education Code, Section 22.083, Pearland ISD may obtain criminal history record information on an individual who has indicated, in writing, an intention to serve as a volunteer.
Completion of the online volunteer registration qualifies as written intent to serve as a volunteer at a designated Pearland ISD campus and a release to conduct a criminal background information check. Criminal information obtained is confidential and used only for ensuring student safety.
Steps to Become a Pearland ISD Volunteer:
- Complete an online application with our Frontline Recruit and Hire applicant-tracking system. Select the job opening for Volunteers 2024-2025, indicating the campus/campuses in which you plan to volunteer. If you are applying only as a Rise Mentor, you may indicate so in lieu of selecting a campus.
- The review process could take up to 5-7 business days. Please act in a timely manner if you plan to attend an event on a certain date.
- Once we approve your online application, your name will appear on the campus list you have designated. If necessary, you may contact the campus secretary to confirm your volunteer status.
- Volunteers must re-apply each school year.
