Joining a Teams "Live Event" as a Presenter

These instructions demonstrate how to join a Teams "Live Event" as a Presenter if you already have a Teams account, either provided by Pearland ISD, as a member of a different organization, or if logged into Teams with a personal account. 

Joining A Live Event

To join a Teams Live Event as a Presenter, you must have been invited by the organizer of the event. When invited, you will receive an email and a calendar invitation for the event. 

Locate and open the email or calendar event, then click the link to "Join Live Event".

When the link is clicked, a new page should open prompting you to open Microsoft Teams.  Click "Open". 

*In some cases, the link may automatically open in Microsoft Teams, without prompting. This is acceptable.

The Teams application and the meeting window should then open, with the text "Join as a presenter" at the top. Confirm your camera and microphone settings, then click "Join Now".
