Mr. Glen Johnson

I have spent the first 22 years of my employment career in the telecommunication industry. Until August of 2002, I was responsible for the development, planning, and budgeting of capital funds for thirty-three communities in the Houston metropolis. At GTE/Verizon I was the subject matter expert for all the software and hardware utilized in the engineering office.

I am the World Geography team leader. I am married to my wife, Libby, and we have Five children. Greg Hill and wife Amy; Cynthia and husband Bryan Peltier; Gail and husband Daniel Alverez; Darcie and husband Sam Crumpacker and Beth Johnson.   We are also blessed with seven grandchildren - Bria, age 19, Isabella, age 14 Colton, age 12, and Ford, age 11, Cameron, age 10, and Audrey, age 9 and Case age 4.   I also enjoy fishing and wood working.

I believe that learning should have a purpose and a teacher needs to have passion for the subject and the anticipated outcome of his students. Teaching will complete a life long dream of mine to help and lead our young adults into a productive area of life choices.

My philosophy on teaching is that all students can learn. Learning is a lifelong race. I believe that all children can achieve. A teacher should help his students achieve by setting and reaching obtainable goals, by instilling high expectations, and most of all, promoting a positive learning environment. As an educator of the new millennium, my goal is to touch eternity through my students.
