Mrs. Patty LaTouche
Hi! I am Patty LaTouche, and this will be my 20th year at Pearland High School and 35th year in education. I am proud to share that my three children, Michael, Justin, and Rochelle, graduated from Pearland High School. My husband, Mike, and I were so pleased at the quality of education they received that we became a part of the Pearland ISD family, as did my daugher-in-law Alyssa. Speaking of family, all three children have college degrees (2 Aggies and 1 Cougar), are married, and have blessed us with four grandchildren: Abbey, Maddy, Charlie, and Michael. Maddy starts Kindergarten this year in Pearland ISD. And we have two more grandchildren on the way: Baby John in November and Baby Sienna in February.
I absolutely enjoy spending time with family, which includes my husband, my parents, my children, my grandchildren, and my brothers (PHS graduates) and their families, as well as extended family and friends. I also have three dogs: 2 Yorkies, Pippin and Duke, and Rose Marie, our Chihuahua rescue - also part of the family. My favorite place to be with loved ones is at our beach house in Galveston. It is truly our "Paradise."
Professionally, I enjoy education and all that goes with it. I learned very early in my teaching career that if I can reach students, everything else will follow. This means that I show students I genuinely care about them - that they are safe with me - that I will be honest with them - and that I will walk with them hand-in-hand until they are ready to walk independently. And when they are focused on their futures and their newfound sense of selves, I will be proud of them as they stretch their wings and soar.
Facilitating high school students to become the best version of themselves is the most gratifying job in the world. Whenever and wherever they need assistance, "Whatever It Takes!" is my motto.
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I look forward to working with students and parents of this great community! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your student's educational life.
