Mrs. Juanita Lozano-Gaitan
Hello,
My name is Juanita Lozano-Gaitan. I am the Criminal Justice teacher at Pearland High School. I earned a bachelors degree in Criminology and Corrections at Sam Houston State University. I retired from Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections also known as the Harris County Adult Probation Department where I worked as a Probation Officer for 28 years in various capacities including a juvenile residential facility, a case worker, an adult substance abuse residential facility, speacial/high risk case loads, a PreSentence Investigator and almost ten years in a felony district court. In 2012, I resigned my position as a probation officer to pursue a personal goal to teach criminal justice in high school. I myself participated in a law enforcement program in high school which helped set me on my career path in criminal justice.
It is my goal as the Criminal Justice teacher and Criminal Justice Club sponsor at Pearland High School to provide students the information and opportunities to help them determine if this is a career path for which they are suited.
I am a resident of Pearland where I live with my husband of twenty-nine years and my two college age daughters. My oldest daughter was a member of the 2015-2016 Lady Oiler Softball team who went to the 2016 UIL State Championship. She was a graduate of the Class of 2016. She attended Blinn College as a member of the Lady Buccaneers Softball Team. She is currently attending University of Houston. My youngest daughter was a member of the Lady Oilers Golf Team. She graduated in 2018 and currently studing Computer Science at the University of Houston.
