Mr. Harley Simms

Welcome! My name is Harley Simms and I am excited about teaching AP Environmental Science this school year.

After receiving my bachelors in science from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, I began teaching in 2009. As a Pearland High School graduate, PHS has always been my home, but I began teaching here in 2015. Here at PHS you will find me in room 2001 teaching AP Environmental Science & ACADEC.

I am a Houston native and have a beautiful wife and three handsome little boys. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2019 with my masters' degree in Educational Leadership.

Mission Statement:

I personally believe science is a critical aspect of our current society. I hope to be able to encourage and inspire more of today's youth to explore different fields of science as a career path.
