Welcome! My name is Mrs. Demetra Solomon, and I am excited about teaching English I and III for the 2021-2022 school year.  After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Sam Houston State University, I pursued a career in education in the Fall of 1999. In 2004, I decided to continue my education, while working, to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Counseling.  I have taught English at various grade levels in Houston ISD and Pearland ISD, and I was also a counselor in Houston ISD for several years.  I have been in education a total of 22 years. Currently, at Pearland High School I teach English I and III.  I am a native Houstonian, but I currently live in Manvel, Texas with my husband Fred of 16 years, and two children, Britney and Joseph.
