Welcome to AP Psychology!  I am very excited to have you in my class this year!

I attended Baylor University where I received my Bachelors.  Not knowing exactly what I "wanted to be when I grew up,"  I worked in the business world for 5 years before I could no longer ignore the fact that I wanted to be a teacher.  I have been working at Pearland High School since 2009.  

Keys to Success: Do not be discouraged if your grades seem low during the first nine weeks.  This is a college-level class and not only are you learning new ways of thinking and notetaking, you are also learning new content, much of it on your own, which is a new process for most students.  If you knew the material already, you wouldn't need this course.  What you will learn in this class - the writing skills, thinking skills and study skills will benefit you in any classes in the future and are essential for college!  If you work in this class, I promise you it will be worth the effort!

Constant review of terms will be your best friend.  Don't wait until the last minute.  You also MUST read the book, as we will not be able to cover all the material in class.  But while this class is a lot of information, it is an interesting subject that will help you for the rest of your life!
