Team University of Florida
Welcome to Sablatura Middle School. 5th grade Math is an awesome subject and I am very excited to be your teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Sablatura is a wonderful school where the people who work here feel more like a family.
I graduated from Illinois State University. I am a highly qualified, certified, Generalist EC-6. I also have an ESL (English as a Second Language) supplement. The 2019-2020 school year is my 8th year to teach with Pearland ISD. I have also enjoyed being a stay at home mom and a CPA.
I look forward to working with parents and students to create a positive middle school experience.

Tuesday Folder
Every Tuesday a blue folder will go home with each student. It will contain important items such as graded papers, notes and school wide information. It will also contain your child's conduct card. Remember to sign it and place it back in the Tuesday folder. Students will return their Tuesday folders on Wednesday. All corrected assignments are due on the following Monday.
Agenda
Students will write in their agendas every day. Please review your child's agenda nightly for homework assignments or special notes. Please initial the agenda each night after you have reviewed the information inside.
Grades
You can stay informed about your child's grades by looking in the Tuesday folder for their graded assignments and by checking Skyward. Your students have also been taught how to check Skyward and track missing assignments and their current grade.
Homework
Students will be assigned Math homework that is due daily and weekly.
If a student does not complete a homework assignment. The student will receive a conduct mark for "No Homework". A zero will be entered into the grade book. The student will have three school days to turn in the assignment as corrected work to raise the grade to up to 70%. After three school days the zero will be the permanent grade for the assignment.
Homework is 10% of your child's report card grade.
