Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Marie Kester
Thank you for visiting my webpage. My name is Marie Kester and I am the Dyslexia teacher for Rustic Oak. My husband and I just welcomed our first granddaughter in Nov. and are expecting a grandson in Jan. We LOVE being grandparents and parenting our 2 Yorkies, Jax and Jill.
I am in my 24th year of teaching at Rustic Oak so that should tell you how much I love working at this school! I've taught 2nd and 3rd grade here as well as ESL classes. I'm now starting my 8th year as a dyslexia interventionist. My passion is teaching children how to become lifelong readers by overcoming any challenges that might prevent that. I have received training in the Neuhaus Program as well as the Dyslexia Intervention Program and Reading By Design through Region 4. Regardless of the program used, I love teaching and watching reluctant students gain confidence in order to become independent readers and writers.
Please let me know if you have any questions that I might be able to answer for you. You may contact me through email email@example.com or call the school and leave a message at 281-482-5400. My conference time is 11:15-12:00 daily so I will be available to contact you during that time. I'm looking forward to another great year!
