I have always loved music and started playing the piano at the age of 7. I took piano lessons until I graduated high school. My main instrument, however, is the flute and I started playing the flute at the age of 12 at Jamison Middle School. I grew up in Pearland, TX and attended Kindergarten through 12th grade in Pearland ISD. I graduated from Pearland High School in 1997 and went on to receive my BM degree from University of Houston, MM degree from University of Texas at Austin and DMA degree from Florida State University. I am a proud mother of two wonderful children- Thomas (9 years old) and Kinsleigh (7 years old). I have a wonderful husband, Nick Miller, who is an Educational Technology Specialist for Pearland ISD. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful family!!!
