Hello and welcome to the Cockrell Cub family! My name is Michelle Harrod and this will be my 14th year teaching at Barbara Cockrell Elementary.  I began my teaching career at Lawhon Elementary as a 3rd and 4th grade TAKS tutor. I have been a Cockrell Cub since the school's first year and have taught Pre-K and Kindergarten.  I am super excited to be this year's Dyslexia Teacher!  In my free time when I am not at school I enjoy playing golf, watching the Texans, being outdoors, and hanging out with my 2 beautiful daughters Jaiden and Jordyn.

Jaiden is a 2021 PHS Gradaute and will be attending the Unversity of Alabama this fall and Jordyn will be a Freshman at PHS and is on the JV Cheer Team. 

I served 5 years in the U.S. Army and loved every minute of it!
