I have been teaching for 14 years at Massey Ranch, and I love First Grade! Here is a little about me....

I graduated from Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca in 1983. I then attended Victoria College. After Victoria I moved on to what was known as Southwest Texas State Universtiy in San Marcos. SWT is now known as Texas State University. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1989. I later attended University of Houston Clear Lake, graduating in 2006. I have two children, ages 24 and and 20. My oldest graduated from Pearland High School in 2014 and my youngest graduated from Pearland High School in 2019. I have two fur babies named Elvis (bassett hound/beagle mix) and Scout (bassett hound/lab mix). My favorite vacations were: a cruise with stops in Jamaica, Cozumel and Grand Caymen; and Calgary, Canada.

Some fun facts:

In high school I was in the band and part of the flag corp for our marching band.

I worked for Baskin Robbins in high school - so yes, I do love ice cream!

I later worked for a newspaper, writing the wedding announcements.

I love animals - I once had a pet mouse and a pet raccoon.

I have been in the water with stingrays - I held one!

I always have a spring garden (I love nature).

On one particular visit to Canada, I walked on a glacier and filled a water bottle with glacier water - it was delicious!
