Mission Statement for Pearland ISD Libraries
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
The mission of the Pearland ISD Libraries is to provide innovative library services and quality resources that facilitate discovery and enhance student learning. All students are welcome to read, explore, and express ideas in an open environment.
Welcome to the Carleston Elementary Library! I am looking forward to seeing your child in our Library this year and helping them develop a love and excitement for books and reading. Please know that I do my very best to help each child find a book which interests them and which is suitable for their grade and/or reading level. You are welcome at any time to contact me with any suggestions or guidance in this regard.
The Library is always in need of volunteers - daily to help with shelving or special projects, and most certainly during the Fall and Spring Scholastic Book Fairs. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in helping out. Thank you!
Please see tabs for information on specific topics.

Read, read, read to your child! Even when they are reading independently, it is still so beneficial for them to be read to. Make reading fun!
Pearland ISD is a part of TexQuest, which is a statewide digital resources program that provides anytime, anywhere access to high quality, authoritative digital resources to all educators, students, and students' immediate families in Texas K-12 public schools and open enrollment charter schools.
