  • Tangila is an Educational Technology Specialist in Pearland ISD who currently provides instructional technology support at the junior high level. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University. She began her career as a middle school science teacher in the mid-nineties. During her eleven years as a secondary science teacher, she served as a team leader, department chair and club sponsor. Yet, it was her insatiable desire to continue to grow and learn that segued her into her current vocational position as an Instructional Technology Specialist.  

    As the technology coordinator of two campuses she is afforded the opportunity to teach not only students but adults as well. She fosters effective technology integration at her campuses through modeling lessons and conducting regular technology trainings. Tangila has also conducted trainings at the local and state level such as at Region IV and the Texas Computer Education Association conferences. Throughout her twenty-plus years in education, she has seen much; been involved in much; learned much and believes in sharing what she has learned with others.
