Robert Sims is an Educational Technology Specialist with Pearland ISD. His primary focus is working with Teachers and Students at the PACE Center, Dawson High School, and Turner College and Career High School. Technology plays a very important role in Education - now more than ever! Mr. Sims shares, trains, and coaches Teachers on how to leverage various technology tools and methods in their classroom repertoire. Through this implementation Students become more involved in learning and understanding while utilizing higher-order thinking, communication, and creative skills. As a result, Students grasp concepts that make them successful contributors to the workplace of the future!
Mr. Sims has worked as a Professional Educator since 1986. He has taught Music (Band and Elementary Music) at all levels in Texas, Colorado, Georgia, and Tennessee. He has worked in Pearland ISD since 2014.
Besides being a Tech Geek, Mr. Sims is still an avid fan of all kinds of Music. He follows DCI (Drum Corps International) of which he was an active past participant in a World Class Finalist Organization. Geneology is another interest that has led Mr. Sims to trace his family tree back to 900 AD!
