English Language Arts Reading

    Conference: 5th Period (1:21 p.m.-2:08 p.m.)

     

    Tutoring Times:

    -Tuesday and Friday mornings

    -Wednesday after school

    -Any other times by discretion (I am usually available for my students daily.)

     

    Course Objective: Reading & Writing (ELAR-English Language Arts Reading)

    Scholars in PAP English 8 will be exposed to a wide range of reading and writing genres that focus mainly on analytical open-ended response, literary analysis, and essays (Narrative, Expository, Persuasive, etc.)  Reading selections, literary clips, and discussion will precede and provide background insight and a foundation for prompts and response topics.

     

    Course Specific Supplies:

    -2-2.5' inch  3 ring binder (with paper and dividers)

    -Folder (pockets and prongs)

    -Composition notebook 

    -All other supplies can be shared amongst all of the classes.
