Hi Silverlake Superstar 2nd Grade families! I'm Mrs. Folger and I'm excited to embark on a new year teaching 2nd grade at Silverlake. This will be my 7th year teaching at the Lake and 10th year teaching. I graduated from Texas A&M University with an education degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood studies and am certified in ESL, SPED and GT.  Additionally, I was voted  Teacher Of The Year for my campus for the  2019-2020 school year. I'm passionate about making learning exciting for students and there are so many new things to learn and explore this year!

On top of being a teacher here at Silverlake I have also been a Silverlake parent! All 3 of my children are Silverlake graduates and are now heading into 6th, 8th, and 11th grade in PISD.  They are all involved in either volleyball or basketball here in Pearland so I am sure we will see you around town. My husband Kelsey and I have been Pearland residents for 20 years so we are strongly invested in this community and school.  I assure you this is a fantastic place for your child to grow in knowledge and GRIT!  

I'm so looking forward to getting to know each of you this year and can't wait to watch your children grow!
