Welcome to Team Strength!   I am Michelle Tijerina and I teach 5th grade Language Arts.  I am a graduate of the University of Houston where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders.  Go Coogs!  I have 19 years of teaching experience in public schools.  I have taught at both the elementary and middle school level, but I particularly enjoy teaching 5th grade Reading. When I am not teaching, I am a mother to boy-girl twins who both attend Texas A&M University in College Station.  My hobbies include cheering for the U of H Cougars, the Houston Astros, and the Texas Fighting Aggies!  I also enjoy reading, walking, and enjoying the great company of family and friends. It is my hope that this school year will be full of successful experiences for your child.
