Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
I am an English I / Reading I teacher and the Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Dawson High School. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Education and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. This is my third year teaching and coaching at Dawson High School.
My goal is for your child to be successful in communicating, problem-solving, and writing. I hope that every student is more confident in their writing ability and prepared for their sophomore year of high school. My goal as an educator is to share my love for learning, as well as provide a safe environment for all of my students.
I am originally from La Grange, TX and I enjoy spending my free time outdoors (running, hiking, fishing, and gardening). My time outside of school is usually spent in the gym or kitchen. I was recently married in December 2019 (now Mrs. Jenkins). My husband and I spend our weekends all over Texas and enjoy floating the river in San Marcos during the summer.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 - 1:30PM (Video Conference request for students can be found in Canvas under Distance Learning Module)
Please remember to check your child’s grade on Skyward.
