Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
I am an English teacher and the Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Dawson High School. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Education and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. This is my third year teaching and coaching at Dawson High School.
In the classroom, my goal is for your child to be successful in communicating, problem-solving, and writing. By the end of the school year, I hope that every student is more confident in their writing ability and prepared for their sophomore year of high school. My goal as an educator is to share my love for learning, as well as provide a safe environment for all of my students.
I am orignially from La Grange, TX and I enjoy spending my free time outdoors (running, hiking, fishing, and gardening). My time outside of school is usually spent in the gym or kitchen. I am currently engaged and our wedding is December 2019. My fiance and I spend our weekends traveling all over Texas and enjoy floating the river in San Marcos.
Conference: 2nd Period (8:03-8:46AM)
Tutorials: During Eagle Hour (Monday/Thursday first half) OR any morning (6:30-7:15) by appointment only.
Please remember to check your child’s grade on Skyward.
“No matter what your ability is, effort is what ignites that ability and turns it into accomplishment.”
