Hello there! My name is Mrs. Sandvig and I will be teaching Environmental Systems this upcoming year at PHS. I'm a midwest girl born and raised in the great state of Missouri.  I moved to Texas a few years ago with my husband and my three fur babies.

I graduated back in 2013 from Southeast Missouri State University with a BS in Wildlife Conservation Biology with an emphasis in Entomology. Entomology for those of you that don't know is the study of insects! . 

I have experience working for the Missouri Department of Conservation as an Education Naturalist during my time back in Missouri. I got to teach fun stuff such as archery, canoeing and orienteering, and animal conservation to kids ages 0-11 and handle a bunch of neat reptiles and amphibians! It was an awesome job and where I discovered my passion for education which led me on my path to become a high school science teacher.
