We are going to have a spectacular year in language arts—whether you are learning in school or from home! My class is a place for creativity and sharing. We will have open discussions and work together to understand that reading critically and writing purposefully are valuable skills that anyone can develop with practice. My personal goal is for every student that comes through my classroom to leave feeling that they found their voice and also that people listened.
Please Note: Parents, email is the best way to reach me regarding your student.

How to Support Our Class
Thank you for your interest in supporting my classroom! I appreciate any help! We always need writing utensils (black, blue, and red pens), highlighters, and composition books. Sticky notes and dry erase markers come in handy too!
I am perpetually looking for ways to make my classroom library interesting and diverse. Gently used books are welcome donations. I also have an Amazon wishlist of ideas. If you have a book that kids will love, please make sure it is appropriate for the YA audience.
