Welcome to Ms. Fulkerson's first grade classroom!  I am excited about teaching your children this year.  I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and grew up in the Houston area.  This will be my ninth year of teaching first grade.  I taught first grade for five years in Katy ISD before moving to Pearland ISD.  I enjoy teaching the primary grades and specifically love seeing the growth and development of each and every child.  I love getting students excited about reading and exposing them to different genres and quality picture books.  I also love seeing a child light up when they understand a new concept or skill in math.  I believe that every student can and will meet their goals inside a secure, caring, and learning-centered classroom.

I am close with my family and enjoy spending time with friends and loved ones.  In my free time I love to read, listen to music, watch movies, exercise, and cook.  I live in Pearland with my husband, Jeff, and our sweet German shepherd, Charley.
