Welcome to English IV and Dual Credit English. My name is Mariah Almack and I have a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing and a Masters in British and American Literature. This is my seventh year teaching. I have taught in the Houston area as well as Qingdao, China. This is my third year at PHS. 

Dual Credit Parent communication policy: "The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, commonly known as FERPA, provides that all records pertaining to a student that are maintained by the college must be open for inspection by the student and may not be made available to any other person without the written authorization of the student." 

In order to discuss specifics about your student's grades or work, please contact the Dual Enrollment advisor for PHS to complete a FERPA waiver. You can find more information on ACC's Dual Enrollment webpage. I can always answer general questions about the course without a waiver on file.
