Starting in January of 2019, he worked as an Interim Assistant Band Director at Cypress Ranch High School. His responsibilities in this position entailed assisting in the preparation and daily operation of all ensembles. As a recent graduate of Sam Houston State University, Dominique was able to gain insight into student development and music education under the mentorship of Dr. Matthew McInturf, Dr. Brian Gibbs, and Kathy Daniel. At Sam Houston, Dominique had the privilege to perform with several ensembles such as; the Sam Houston Wind Ensemble, the Symphonic Band, and the Bearkat Marching Band.  In 2016, Dominique served as Student Assistant Director for the Bearkat Marching Band followed by serving as Drum Major in 2017. As a member of Tau Beta Sigma, he had the opportunity to serve as Vice President in 2016, President in 2017-18, and was appointed to be the Lead Coordinator of the 2017 Southwest District Convention. Finally, he had the opportunity to represent his peers and serve as a member of the School of Music Directors’ Executive Council. Dominique was also able to gain experience in the field by teaching flute lessons in Huntsville ISD with students from 6th to 12th grade. In addition, he served as a Marching Technician and Flute masterclass teacher for the J. Frank Dobie Marching Band. During his senior year at Sam Houston, Dominique had the opportunity to perform at the TMEA Convention with his Flute Quartet, and at the American Bandmasters Convention with the Sam Houston Wind Ensemble.

A huge advocate for the Marching Arts, Dominique serves as the Tour Director for the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps. Prior to serving in an administrative role, Dominique led the Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps as a Drum Major in 2015.
