Welcome to the Sam Jamison Middle School Physical Education Family! My name is Joel Burris. This is my 1st year of teaching Physical Education. I will be one of the P.E. teachers this year at Sam Jamison Middle School. Prior to teaching I worked for a youth/student outreach organization. Spending time with young people has always been my passion. I absolutely love Physical Education and I was a former collegiate student-athlete too. 

I graduated from Putnam City High School in 2006, and then I graduated in 2011 from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I recently celebrated my 1st wedding anniversary and I'm enjoying married life.

My hobbies include: reading, fitness, art, trying new foods, and spending time with my family and loved ones.
