Welcome to Mrs. Duff's 5th grade class! Go #TeamSuccess!

I am grateful to start my 25th year in education and my 13th year with Pearland ISD. I'm a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in Houston and the University of Houston-Clear Lake. As a lifelong student myself, I love to read and hope to instill the same love of books and share this year's reading journeys with my students. Your kids become my kids for the school year, and, for some, for a lifetime. I'm excited to work with each one of them this year!

Tutoring times:  Thursday 4 - 4:45 p.m. /Friday 8:00 - 8:25 a.m.

A note about tutoring: Students must bring a dated parent note stating he/she may stay for afternoon tutoring and the phone number of the person picking up the student. Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up promptly at 4:45 p.m.

Friday Communication Folders

A folder will be sent home every week on Friday. The folder will contain announcements or memos as well as the Conduct Card which should be signed and returned the following day.  Also, graded assignments will be there for you to review. If an assignment has a grade below 70, students should make corrections and return the assignment with a parent signature no later than the following Wednesday in order to receive correction credit. The date the assignment was given to the student for correction are noted in Skyward.

Missing assignments are also sent home in the Friday folder. Students need to complete these as soon as possible and return them to their teacher. The grade for these assignments in Skyward is listed as a zero and "MA" (missing assignment) also appears until the paper is turned in.
