Meredith Bates Bishop is in her eleventh year as the Director of Bands for Pearland Junior High West and Sablatura Middle School and seventeenth year teaching in Pearland ISD. She teaches the beginning horn, trumpet, and flute classes, and Honors band. Her bands have consistently earned first division ratings and Sweepstakes at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation. In 2017, Mrs. Bishop was named the PJH West Teacher of the Year. In 2017 and 2019, the Pearland JH West Honors Band advanced to the State Level of the Texas Music Educators Association Honor Band Competition. Mrs. Bishop is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, is the Region 19 Representative for the UIL/TMEA Music Advisory Committee, and is an Active Member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association.

Jessica Steiner is beginning her thirteenth year as assistant band director at Pearland JH West. She teaches the clarinet, oboe/bassoon, and saxophone beginner classes at Sablatura Middle School and conducts the Symphonic Band and PJH West. Her bands have consistently earned first division ratings at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation. In 2015, the Symphonic Band was the first runner up in their division of the Gator Music Festival.
Mrs. Steiner earned her bachelor's degree in 2007 from the University of Houston and a master's degree from the University of North Texas in 2009. Mrs. Steiner is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association, and has served as the percussion organizer for Region 19. Her primary instrument is the clarinet.
