Dr. S. Williams
Dr. Williams is originally from Florida, where she was born and raised. She attended the University of Central Florida 'Go Knights', where she obtained her BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She was considered an 'at-risk' student when she was in middle and high school, not because of grades but because of the area she lived in and her families socioeconomic status. Being the first in her family to successfully graduate college was a major accomplishment for Dr. Williams. But Dr. Williams didn't attend college to prove anything to anyone else, she used Education as a way for her to explore a world outside of the one she lived in. As a result, she fell in love with Education and working with students, so she started her career teaching immediately after she obtained her Bachelor's Degree, and has remained in the Education field for over 15 years.
After Dr. Williams completed her first degree, she went on to pursue her Master's Degree in Counseling and her Ph.D. in Education and Leadership. Obtaining her Doctorate Degree was something she wanted to do before her parents passed away and with perserverance, determination and prayer she was able to accomplish just that. Dr. Williams later relocated to Atlanta, GA where she spent several years in both the Counseling and Education fields until she recently relocated to Texas to be closer to her family. She is extremely happy to be 'HOME' here in Texas and equally as happy to be at 'HOME' as a member of the PACE family.
Dr. Willams enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends and advocating for Mental Health Awareness. She believes that Education is the key to success. She was once told that she would 'never be successful' as a college student, but she turned that negatively into the fuel she needed to pursue and achieve her goals. It is her passion and purpose in life to motivate, educate, encourage and inspire others to achieve their goals. She looks forward to serving the students and the community in this 2019-2020 school year.
