Hello and welcome to 1st grade! My name is Dana Ryan and I am so excited to be your childs teacher this year! I am the youngest of five and grew up in Pearland for most of my life. This will be my fourth year as an Eagle at Challenger Elementary. Previously, I have taught 3rd and 1st grade and was also an aide in the Life Skills classroom at Cockrell Elementary.

I graduated from the University of Houston- Clear Lake with my bachelors of intediciplinary studies in early childhood through 6th grade as well as a bachelors in Special Education early childhood through 12th grade. 

My goal is to create an environment where each student can be successful and feel at home when they walk through my doors. First grade is a year of so much growth and I am eager to work alongside my parents to help each child reach their full potential. 

I want to keep the lines of communication open for everyone and I am always available for any questions or concerns you may have. I am looking forward to a great year!
