Mr. Bryan Cambrice
Born and raised in Houston, Bryan Cambrice grew up in 3rd Ward where he was an Altar Boy (acolyte) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, a Boy Scout in Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church's Troop 242, and a regular participant in the summer Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) at Texas Southern University. As a student-athlete, Bryan excelled academically and ran track and played basketball. In 1993, he earned the Eagle Scout Award and graduated from Bellaire Senior High School.
Bryan went to Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While there, he was on the Honor Roll and Dean's List while being active in student organizations like the Morehouse Business Association (MBA) and serving as a writer and editor for The Maroon Tiger, the campus newspaper. In 1998, he earned a Bachelor of Arts.
After college, Bryan went on to pursue his Masters degree and work in a variety of roles in business and government. In 2009, he wanted to give back to his community and decided to become a teacher. He earned his license in 2010 and began his career as an educator. Certified to teach Elementary Education, Special Education, and English as a Second Language, Bryan has taught students from Pre-K to 6th Grade. Mr. Cambrice is excited about the 2022-2023 school year and continuing to be a part of the Carleston Elementary family!
