• Welcome to Texas! – Texas Monthly

"I have said that Texas is a state of mind, but I think it is more than that. It is a mystique closely approximating a religion. And this is true to the extent that people either passionately love Texas or passionately hate it and, as in other religions, few people dare to inspect it for fear of losing their bearings in mystery or paradox. But I think there will be little quarrel with my feeling that Texas is one thing. For all its enormous range of space, climate, and physical appearance, and for all the internal squabbles, contentions, and strivings, Texas has a tight cohesiveness perhaps stronger than any other section of America. Rich, poor, Panhandle, Gulf, city, country, Texas is the obsession, the proper study, and the passionate possession of all Texans." - John Steinbeck

Mr. Williams

Hello!

Welcome to my homepage and welcome to South Junior High! I was Born and raised in Lake Charles, La until my family moved to Missouri City in 2006. After graduating from Hightower High School in 2008 I decided to head back home and attend McNeese State University. After graduating from McNeese with my Bachelors in Kinesiology I was lucky enough to travel across the south as a strength and conditioning coach. In 2015 I decided it was time to head back home and bring my love for teaching and coaching to the junior high level. I live here in Pearland with my girlfriend Melissa, our daughter Lory, and her little guinea pig Luke.

This will be my eigth year as an educator and my Second in PISD. I'll be teaching Texas History this year along with coaching Football, Cross Country & Track.  I’m excited to be a part of an amazing school district and an even better campus family! Please visit the links provided below for more resources as well as communication. I’m looking forward to what will be and interesting but a fulfilling school year! I aim to be a teacher that always has his door (physically/virtually) open. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or feedback. Let’s make it an amazing year!
