  • The Computer Science Club invites students to learn how to write programs using the Java language. Basic skills with Java or another language let the students expand their skills as we get in depth with more complex programming logic and develop coding skills. We then leverage those skills as we build teams that compete in the local UIL competitive events. Our members are commonly in the Pre-AP Computer Science or the AP Computer Science classes but this is not a requirement.

  • As part of the growing demand for Cyber Security professionals the Pearland Computer Science Club has added a second team opportunity for students interested in Cyber Technology topics. Cyber Scholar Team members will join the National Cyber Start America online competition as they compete for badges & scholarships. This is open to all PHS Students, no programming experience required. The competition requires self-motivation and is 100% online. During occasional meetings we will discuss individual progress, CS Careers and PHS CS Course offerings.
