Ms. Pinson has obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Communications: Radio/TV with a minor in Journalism. She is currently pursing a Master's Degree in Instructional Design that will be completed in 2020.

Welcome! My name is Anissa Pinson and I am a 7th & 8th Grade ESL teacher at Pearland Junior High South! I am joining the PISD team with 4 years of experience in the education industry 3 of which have been spent teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English, Reading, and ESL. A few fun facts to know about me include the fact that I am from Dallas, TX so in my spare time, in a COVID free world, I like to go back to visit Dallas often. Yes, my hometown has made me a proud Dallas Cowboys fan (I’m sure some of you will LOVE that), but I love all Texas teams when they’re not playing the Cowboys. Music, movies, reading, cooking, family, and friends are all things I enjoy when I am not creating great content and materials for my students. I am a firm believer that learning can be fun, so I strive to bring lots of exciting experiences to my classroom that will hopefully make this school year one that you will cherish. I am so happy to have every student, parent, and PISD team member join me for the journey that this school year has in store for us!
