It is very important to keep the lines of communication flowing between students, parents and teachers and I can’t wait to team up with you and guide our stars through a successful school year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you might have throughout the year.

  • About Me:

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Houston – Clear Lake and am Certified in Early Childhood - 6th General Education with the Science of Teaching Reading, EC-12th for Special Education.  This is my third year of teaching full time and my fifth year of working at Pearland Independent School District.  I have been at Silverlake Elementary for the past three years.  I thoroughly enjoy everything about the learning process, from the small successes to the big “A-ha” moments.  I love to make learning fun! My goal is to work with the students in a way that prepares them to achieve their highest potential, both academically and as a member of their community.

My family and I have lived in the Pearland area since 2003.  I have been married for 20 years to a wonderful man, Norbert, and we have two children; a daughter, Maxine, 18, who is currently studying Biomedical Science at Texas A & M University, and a son, Alexander, 15, who is a Sophomore at Dawson High School and plays on their basketball team.  We all adore our two furry babies, a Shih Tzu named Augustus Muffins, aka “Gus Gus”, and a sweet Pomeranian named “Coco”.   We are blessed to live in such an incredible community of people.  I have enjoyed many years serving on various committees and philanthropies, such as Beta Sigma Phi, National Charity League, Pearland Pirates, PTA, Massey Ranch Elementary PTA President 2013-2015, Parliamentarian, Hospitality Committee at Rogers Middle School and Berry Miller Junior High, VP of Fundraising at Berry Miller Junior High.  It is always a pleasure to serve our community and to work with goal-oriented, energetic individuals.

A few of my favorite downshift activities are spending time with family and friends, reading books, mindful meditation, decorating, watching movies and travelling to new and exciting destinations!
