  • Club members participate in the Texas High School Bass Association fishing tournaments. It is the goal of the Texas High School Bass Association to provide a venue where high school students have the opportunity to compete in organized tournaments while establishing strict guide lines and academic standards that will allow our student anglers to excel in the class room and on the lake.

    Open for all Pearland ISD High School Students (DHS, PHS and Turner)
    Club members participate in the THSBA fishing tournaments (cost subject to change per THSBA yearly)
    $60.00  -  Texas High School Bass Association annual dues and for a $1,000,000 per student insurance policy
    $60.00 per team per tournament participation (2 person or individual teams)

    Team Requirements:
    Boat at least 16ft
    Boat captain/ Waiver /Safe Sport Certified
    Must have $300,000 Liability insurance policy per boat
    Tournament registration per event/entry fee per event

    Tournament Requirement:
    5 Area tournaments/1 regional Tournament (must qualify)/1 state championship (must qualify) Must submit Academic eligibility roster prior to tournament Strict “No pass/No Fish” policy maintain min 70.

    Scholarships:
    THSBA awards $100,000 per Division

    Financial Sponsors:
    Help provide jerseys, hats, hoodies, fuel reimbursements, prizes and other costs for participants.
    Sponsor Amounts: $250, $500, $750, $1,000 or optional amount.  (Logo goes on team jerseys/banner) email Schulze PDF of logo

    Student’s provide:
    Tackle, boat, insurance, association fees

    Student Requirements:
    Maintain a 70% or higher passing in all classes
    Grade checks prior to each tournament (NO PASS – NO FISH!!!)
