Welcome to Second grade!

My name is Robert Hughes and I will be your child's 2nd grade dual language teacher. This is my second year teaching at Carleston Elementary, but I have been teaching for 17 years in bilingual education. I'm excited for this school year and new adventures to be had in 2nd grade. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor's degree, double major in International Studies and Spanish.   

A little about me: I am married and have 2 boys. I enjoy traveling, playing and watching soccer with my sons, and listening to all kinds of music.
