Welcome everyone! My name is Angela Avera and I am so excited about starting my second year of teaching for the Pearland ISD family! My husband and I moved to Pearland from Deer Park 5 years ago due to the amazing school district I am finally part of :) This will be my 8th year of teaching. I have taught both elementary and middle school resource/inclusion during those years :) . I grew up in the Deer Park area and graduated from Deer Park High School. I received my bachelors degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. As the first person in my family to graduate high school and college, education and learning mean so much to me! I had amazing teachers who helped me grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I hope I can do the same for your sweet babies this year and be part of their journey!

I truly believe that every student is unique with many strengths and some weaknesses. It is our job as educators to help them discover/utilize those strengths while navigating and growing through their weaknesses. My job is to also facilitate and help our kiddos grow socially and emotionally. 

 Please don't ever hesitate to reach out for any reason necessary. I will always do my best to respond in a timely manner (usually within 24-48 hours) and try my best to answer/address any questions/concerns. Together as a team, we will make this a successful year for our kiddos!
