Hello and welcome to my page. I am currently in my second year of teaching, but in my first year at South and I couldn't be more excited. I currently have an 8th grader at South for the 2023-2024 school year and all of my other children are proud Diamondbacks as well. I 'm a native of Texas but not from this area. I am from the small town of Zapata, Texas. I graduated from Zapata High School in 2001 and immediately shipped off to Navy boot camp 2 weeks later. I spent 20 years in the United States Navy and I retired on October 31, 2021. I have traveled all around the world and seen many places that I thought I would only read about in books or see on T.V. 

I have 4 children who keep me busy. They are involved in many activities, like football, cheerleading,color guard, and basketball. Pearland was my last duty station and we loved the community here so much that we decided after 20 years of moving this is where we would settle down and plant some roots. 

I can honestly say that I do believe teaching to be my calling now that my time in the Navy has come to an end. I believe every child deserves an education and an opportunity. My only hope is that I can help all of my students and any others that may cross my path to inspire them and see the value of education and the beauty in life.
