Emmy Hedden is originally from Atlanta, GA and is in her 6th year of teaching. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a BA in Music Education before moving to Houston to teach middle school band at Bonnette Junior High School in Deer Park, Texas. Mrs. Hedden taught at Bonnette for 2 years before joining the staff at Clear Springs High School in 2019. 

In addition to her work in the public school system, Mrs. Hedden has been very involved with the drum corps community. In 2016, she was a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. She has also taught as a brass staff member for the Oregon Crusaders, Genesis, Spirit of Atlanta, and is currently working with The Academy Drum & Bugle Corps for the 2022 season.

Mrs. Hedden is very excited to be joining the Dawson band family!
