Hello and welcome to Cockrell, proud home of the Cubs! My name is Tya Beltran and this will be my fourth year at Cockrell. For the last 3 years, my title was Instructional Aide and now I am a Pre-K teacher. I am a Pearland native and moved here when I was five and attended all Pearland schools!

My amazing family consists of my husband of 4 years. I also have a 3-year-old and a 7 month old. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, playing tennis, shopping, getting my nails done and traveling. I have traveled to 16 out of 50 states and have even made my way out of the country to Paris and Austria. 

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University with my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology in 2018 and I am a proud #PvPanther!!!

I love what I do and I am so excited to meet, learn, and grow with each and everyone of you! My teaching philosophy: "When we learn, we are teaching our hearts and minds to grow" .
